• Is the Ballast Water Treatment System (BWTS) in good working condition?
• Is the BWTS being incorporated in PMS and maintained in accordance with manufacturer's instructions?
• Are all officers familiar with the system operation?
• Is IMO Type Approval Certificate by Flag Administration available?
• If the vessel calls USA ports, is USCG Type Approval Certificate available? 
• Is a water sampling analysis report being issued at the installation of BWTS?
• Is a water sampling analysis annual report in compliance with VGP?
