- Is the bow chain stopper(s) fitted to OCIMF recommendations in terms of vessel's size, number and SWL?
- Is the bow chai stopper(s) designed to accept 76 mm chafe chain?
- Is a manufacturers type approval certificate confirming the SWL, yield strength and safety factors?
- Is an additional certificate confirming the the strength of the bow chain stopper foundation and supportive structure?
- Have both certificates been issued by Classification Society?
- Is it evidence that the bow chain stopper(s) being inspected every 5 years?
- Is the bow chain stopper(s) permanently marked with its SWL and serial number corresponding to the certificate?
- Is the bow chain stopper(s) in good maintenance condition and properly lubricated?
- Is the angle of change of direction of the pick-up line lead below 90 degrees?
The arrangement for SBM chain pick up rope was not installed in proper angle for leading to the mooring winch storage drum.
The serial number is not permanently marked
