- Are the medicine chest & equipment being complied with the latest edition of WHO "International Medical Guide for Ships" and / or Flag State requirements?
- If the vessel carries dangerous goods, are there specific antidotes, additional medicines and special equipment in accordance with MFAG "Medical First Aid Guide for Use in Accidents Involving Dangerous Goods"?
- Is a valid medicine chest certificate by vessel's supplying pharmacist available?
- Have all the expired medicines been extracted?
- Is the medical log properly recorded?
- Is the designated Medical Officer being provided with STCW Medical Care Certificate?
- Is the latest edition of Medical First Aid Guide for Use in Accidents Involving Dangerous Goods available? Note: Rightship recommends the availability of the Ship's Captain Medical Guide.
