2022-01-15
Inspection
- Is the list of certificates and documents being complied with IMO FAL.2-Circ.131-MEPC.1-Circ.873-MSC.1-Circ.1586-LEG.2-Circ.3?
- Are the e-certificates being protected from edits?
- Is a unique tracking number used for e-certificate verification?
Common Mistakes
- Record of Equipment for Cargo Ship Safety (Form E) incorrectly printed life rafts capacity.
- The safety equipment certificate form E includes nautical charts, whereas vessel had two ECDIS and was not using any paper charts for navigation.
- EGCS is missing from IAPP certificate / supplement.
- The last CSR No.4 was available onboard, but the "Form 3" was not maintained for previous CSR documents.
- IOPP certificate Form B section 2.5.3 did not indicate that vessel had a connection from engine room bilge to a slop tank, whereas in actual fact, there was a connection present.
- Tanks mentioned in Form-B of IOPP Certificate under 3.1 regarding retention & disposal of Oil Residues did not match with the number of tanks mentioned in the vessel's E/R tank plan.
- Record of Approved Cargo Ship Safety Equipment issued by Class was not updated.
