  • Company policy procedures with regard to cargo operation.
  • Emergency procedures.
  • Cargo remote control & pielines system.
  • Venting capacities including any installed primary & secondary means.
  • Maximum permissible loading rates for each cargo & ballast tanks.
  • Maximum cargo pumps capacity.
  • Cargo / COW / Vapour / Inert gas / Ballast lines test requirements.
  • COW operation.
  • Flamability diagram.
  • Designated emergency ballast cargo tank.
  • Static electricity hazards.
  • H2S hazards.
  • Portable gas detector instruments use & calibration methods.
  • Fixed gas detection system use, calibration method & gas alarm settings.

Ensure that following information are posted in CCR...

  • Emergency procedures.
  • Maxible loading rates and venting capacities.Pipelines / mimic diagrams of cargo, ballast, venting, and inert gas systems. They should be posted in Pump Room too.
  • Cargo / Ballast pumps performance curves.
  • Emergency ballast procedures.
  • H2S hazards.
  • Static electricity hazards.

Ensure that following documents are available during cargo operation...

  • Ship / Shore Safety check list.
  • Loading or Discharging plan.
  • COW check list. It should be completed before, during and after COW operation.
  • Line-up check list. It should be completed before, during and after cargo operation.
  • Prior loading or discharging operation check list.
  • CCR log book.
  • Inert Gas check list
  • Inert Gas log.
  • Emergency contacts.
  • Cargo MSDS.
  • UKC calculation & tide tables.
  • Cargo & Vaccum pumps temperature log.
  • Rate calculation.
  • Relevant Risk Assessments.
  • STS check lists if applicable.
